Project: Transformation of a former brewery/warehouse into a high quality office complex

Le 740 Saint Maurice was, for almost 50 years, an important Montreal brewery. The National Breweries Limited produced, in particular, the famous Black Horse beer as well as Kingsbeer, also quite popular at the time. Its later vocation was as an industrial warehouse.

The building was then completely reconstructed. Only the basic structure (heavily modified) and heritage façade remained. An additional floor and interior parking garage were created within the building which again involved complex structural modifications.  A beautiful two story lobby complete with granite flooring and wrought iron decoration were also added. Beautiful offset common area corridors were constructed complete with full height solid core mahogany doors for tenant offices.

Finally, state of the art heating and ventilation systems, elevators , generator, water purifier and  security system were installed thereby transforming an old former brewery into a prestige heritage Old Montreal office building .
